We are an Award Winning Four-1/2 Star Class Historic Luxury Boutique B&B Inn reopened in October 2017 under new Professional Chef Management for relaxing couples extended stay getaways and for serious foodies! Our freshly updated romantic Adults Only B&B is ideally located in Cape Cod’s premier vacation destination, Chatham, Massachusetts just 1200 feet from the Harbor. Not your typical Cape B&B, we are owned and managed by a French-trained Professional Chef and a well-known International Trial Lawyer. We are now also proudly a member of The Select Registry of Inns.
Our Inn is at the top of the dramatic Shore Road only 7/10ths of a mile from the vibrant Village center! We are a short stroll to the iconic Chatham Fish Pier, the Chatham Bars and only 1/3rd mile to the nearest sandy shore beach access. We provide luxury amenities, private outdoor spaces, private entrances, amazing French-trained Chef cuisine and unmatched personal trip planning concierge services.
The Carriage House Inn, formerly the Sea Captain Isaac H. Loveland Homestead (built c.1850), has been beautifully transformed blending spacious manicured grounds, period 18th C. antique furnishings, graceful original interiors, beautifully appointed guestrooms each with private baths, and personalized concierge services to ensure an exceptional visit to the Cape. Enjoy our freshly updated luxe bathrooms completed May 2019!
Amenities at our Inn include a spacious rooftop deck (with an ocean peek above the stately neighboring homes), a large sunny breakfast sun room with your own private white tablecloth seating for two and a gorgeous outdoor breakfast patio. Our king guestrooms include new Ethan Allan King beds, new Stearns & Foster mattresses, individual climate controls, luxury 600-thread count bedding, spa robes and slippers, exclusive Parisian bath amenities, Jo Malone room sprays, local Chatham Candy Manor welcome chocolates, flat screen TVs, and new high-speed complimentary Wi-Fi.
Our signature amenity features rustic gourmet multi-course breakfasts and afternoon tea and pastries prepared and artfully presented by our Professional Chef and Co-Owner Peter Varns inspired by European classics and locally sourced foods of the Cape region.
The Carriage House Inn is the ideal Cape bed and breakfast lodging choice for the discerning traveler: Here you can stroll to the beach, wander through the Village’s many unique shops and art galleries, take a ferry to the local Monomoy Island Wild Life Refuge or to Chatham’s private North and South Nauset Beaches for one of a kind excursions, board the Nantucket Freedom Ferry at Harwich, or drive up to Provincetown for the afternoon. We can easily plan your entire stay for you.
Experience the difference from those large anonymous resorts and corporate inns….With just a few beautiful rooms most with private outdoor spaces, our inn is large enough to be rated in the Top 10 B&Bs/Boutique Inns on Cape Cod, yet small enough to provide the personal concierge services, unmatched professional chef cuisine and the pampering you deserve! NOTE: For the comfort of our extended stay guests, we have a strict no 1-night stays, no walk-ins policy. WE ARE A NON-SMOKING PROPERTY INSIDE & OUTSIDE, so all our guests can breathe easily!
QUALITY & VALUE GUARANTEE: We pride ourselves on the high quality of our freshly updated historic Inn & amenities, our personal concierge services and our Professional Chef Cuisine. We believe our quality of experience as inspected and certified by Select Registry in 2019 and our 4-1/2-Star Hotel Rating is sets us apart from the high volume inns in town or “old school” B&Bs where you may never meet the owners or experience complimentary professional chef cuisine made to order in a fully restored and truly historic 19th Century New England setting. Please note, we only accept reservations online on this website, not by phone.
