Welcome to the Newly Renovated Chatham Carriage House Boutique Inn
Our newly refurbished historic and romantic B&B is ideally located in Cape Cod’s premier vacation destination, Chatham, Massachusetts. Our Inn is at the top of the dramatic Shore Road Loop, less than a mile from the vibrant Village center. We are a short stroll to the iconic Chatham Fish Pier and the nearest sandy shore landings.
The Carriage House Inn, formerly the Captain Isaac H. Loveland Homestead (built c.1850), has been beautifully transformed blending spacious manicured grounds, period antique furnishings, graceful interiors, beautifully appointed guestrooms with private baths, and personalized concierge services to ensure an exceptional visit to the Cape. Enjoy the wonderfully detailed rooms in the main house with sun decks and easy access to the lovely period furnished dining room and living room, or relax in the large carriage house rooms beside your fireplace and enjoy the classic Adirondack chairs in your private garden.
Recent extensive renovations at the Inn include a spacious rooftop deck (with an ocean peek above the stately neighboring homes), a new breakfast sunroom with private seating, and a gorgeous outdoor breakfast patio. Our king and queen guestrooms now include individual climate controls, luxury bedding, spa robes, exclusive Parisian bath amenities, local Chatham welcome chocolates, flat screen smart TVs, and complimentary Wi-Fi and newspapers.
Our signature amenity features rustic gourmet multi-course breakfasts and afternoon tea and pastries prepared by Chef and Co-Owner Peter Varns and inspired by locally sourced foods of the Cape region. You won’t want to miss Chef Peter’s cooking school weekends in the off season either!
The Carriage House Inn is the ideal Cape bed and breakfast lodging choice: Here you can stroll to the beach, wander through the Village’s many unique shops and art galleries, enjoy local theaters, classical music offerings and weekly bandstand concerts, take a ferry to the local Monomoy Island Wild Life Refuge or to Chatham’s private North and South Nauset Beaches for one of a kind excursions, board the Nantucket Freedom Ferry at Harwich, or drive up to Provincetown for the afternoon. It’s all within easy reach.
Popular area activities include enjoying the area’s renowned resort spas, golfing the spectacular local courses, sailing and seal cruises, hiking area conservation trails, touring Chatham’s lighthouses, renting bikes by the Cape Cod Rail Trail just down the street, and chartering a sport fishing vessel at the nearby pier. Whatever you choose to do, let us provide you with personalized concierge assistance to make your vacation a memorable one.
Come relax, play, shop and rejuvenate… With a limited number of beautiful rooms, our inn is large enough to be consistently rated among the best boutique B&Bs in Chatham, yet small enough to provide the personal services, unmatched cuisine and the pampering you deserve.
